Intended audience: These
webcasts, supporting UOPs, web resources, and The Field
Museum curriculum are excellent resources for K-12 learners
and will be of interest to the general public who want to
participate in this historic event at The Field Museum.
Sue Unveiled Online Curriculum
To accompany the broadcasts, The Field Museum is featuring
a Sue Unveiled online curriculum. Before and/or after the
broadcast, students can embark on their own fossil expedition
and learn to examine Sue like a scientist. The cost is $75

Below is a program description of each hour of the Sue
Unveiled broadcasts. Each hour is a self-contained show
and features highlights of the Unveiling Program. By clicking

video segments. The first twenty minutes of each webcast,

The Science of Sue (Live)
Using both traditional methods and cutting-edge technologies,
scientists are extending the limits of what is known about
the T. rex through their study of Sue. Join student
reporters at the high school press conference, and follow
up with your own questions to the scientists who are breaking
the story of Sue to shed new light on how T. rex looked
and behaved. By looking at the fossil in these new ways, we
can reconstruct how she might have looked, moved and behaved
over 65 million years ago. Imagine the picture!

Technology is not the only lens through which to see Sue.
Movies and art also have let people imagine how dinosaurs
looked and behaved. Examine how popular notions of dinosaurs
have changed through time and speculate on how Sue may impact
popular culture as well as scientific thought.
